Hakeem Seriki (born November 28, 1979, in Washington, D.C.) is an American, two time Grammy Award nominated rapper from the Acres Homes section of Houston, Texas. He is best known by his stage name, Chamillionaire (pronounced Cha-MIL-yin-air), but also uses nicknames such as The Mixtape Messiah, King Koopa, Color Changin' Lizard, Chamillinator, Chamillitary Mayne, Major Payne and The Truth From Texas. He has publicly stated that his aim is to prove that the South can produce quality lyricists.

United States Hip-Hop duo The 49ers are releasing their fourth studio album Musaic on April 27, 2011 in Japan, through Libyus Entertainment. 

Musaic is The 49ers first studio album since their recent chart success in Japan.

The rap group enlisted producers Soul Chef, Lems, Think Twice, and Hiro, all of whom are known for their individual and unique production.

The title of the album Musaic, is a play on words of "Mosaic."

[NEWS]50 Cent Close To Signing “Jersey Shore’s” Pauly D, Introducing New Phone App

Curtis wants the MTV star for a three album deal and releases Uber50, a new “special Ubersocial theme” for cellphones.

The Jersey Shore phenomenon shows no signs of stopping any time soon. And 50 Cent, ever the opportunistic businessman, wants to get in on the action.TMZ is reporting that Curtis is pursuing the hit show’s DJ Pauly D for a three album deal with his G-Unit label. According to the gossip site’s sources the two men met in New York last week and while no official signing has taken place they are already planning out the deejay’s future including merchandising and musical collaborations. 50 is apparently looking to get this deal done before Pauly D begins filming his show’s next season which will take place in Italy. TMZcontacted the Queens rapper but their calls were not returned.

In other 50 news, he continues to hustle on the tech front. He has partnered with social media company UberSocial to create his own free application. The app will be called Uber50 and it is a Curtis-centric version of the UberSocial phone theme. The theme features custom icons designed by 50, access to the G-Unit Twitter list, and exclusive artwork. There is also an Exclusive G’d Up Edition of the theme which will cost you $1.99. That version comes with sound effects created by 50, more exclusive artwork, and the chance to get a Twitter shout out from the G-Unit CEO.

A Minnesota underground hip-hop group, formed around 1994. At its creation, the group was called “Urban Atmosphere”. Unlike many hip hop groups, Atmosphere provides its own live instrumentation, usually consisting of bass guitar and drums. Atmosphere originally consisted of Spawn (MC), ANT (producer) and Slug (DJ at the time). After Spawn left the group (now rapping under the name Rek The Heavyweight) the line up was set, with Slug, ANT and a rotating DJ. Currently the group consists of rapper Slug (Sean Daley), producer Ant (Anthony Davis), and Touring DJ Mr. Dibbs (Brad Forste). Slug is also one of the co-founders of a Minneapolis hip hop label called Rhymesayers Entertainment. The band has had hit singles on a variety of Billboard charts in the United States: 2002’s “Modern Man’s Hustle” went to #18 on the Billboard Hot Rap Tracks chart and 2008’s “You” hit #38 on the Billboard Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart.

Big-O is a member of one of the pioneer groups of Japanese Hip-Hop, Shakkazombie, with Tsutchie and Ignition Man. Their success shortly followed that of the great Hip-Hop groups of the past like Rhymester and King Gidora. Needless to say, Big-O, formerly known as Osumi, has been in the rap game for a while -- since 1994 to be exact. Big-O followed his Shakkazombie success with a number of big name collaborations to become a mainstream and very well-known emcee in Japan. Big-O has hit exceptional tracks with Japanese music's finest from many different genres; Dabo, Sowelu, Crystal Kay, Aquarius, Zeebra, and DJ Hazime to just name a few. DJ Watarai is a crossover DJ who not only produces some of the best J-Hip Hop out, but also remixes for J-Pop's finest, working with names like M-Flo and BoA. The two have done a ton of tracks together. So much that Big-O's signature "DJ Watarai!" shout-out was sampled in Dabo's DJ-dedication song, "Don't Stop Kibonnu," from Baby Mario World.

Album Info:

Ha, I just happened to run into this clip off the Blenda Website. Big-O and DJ Watarai's comments on the album. It's pretty cool. I kind of imagined Big-O to be less polite and to talk with a little more attitude, like Dabo or Zeebra, but he's actually very polite sounding lol. "Check して見てください." The album was released less than two months ago, on April 25th. Apparently there's a special edition of the album that comes with different color bandanas. I'm not too sure about releases from this album, but any song from the album would be a damn good release if ya ask me.

My Thoughts:

I think the rating explains it all. This album is hip-hop greatness. The production is top quality and Big-O is one of the best emcees in the game. Most of the featured artists are great too. I was extremely surprised (and excited) to see Lupe Fiasco on the album. The only track I can't say I really love (even though I do listen to it sometimes) is We Run Tokyo. Besides Jon-E, I wasn't really feelin the featured MCs on the track. What more can I say? A great album for any Hip-Hop fan.

The Nitro Clique returns with their 3rd album "Special Force". The album was headed by their promotion of the Nitro Microphone Underground shoes made by NIKE. This album features production by DJ WATARAI, MURO, SUBZERO, DJ VIBLAM, JHETT A.K.A YAKKO, ITA-CHO a.k.a Mr. Itagaki, DJ HAZIME, KASHI DA HANDSOME, ZETTON, STARWAX, B-MONEY, BLASTOFF PRODUCTIONS & MACKA-CHIN. With this high profile group of producers you are guaranteed some bangers & of Course KASHI DA HANDSOME produced the track he is on, which happens to be one of my favorite tracks on the album. Surprisingly DABO takes it easy on this album and pretty much leaves all the work to BIG Z, XBS & GORE-TEX. BIG-Z manages keep up with the other memebers, though at time he says something corny, though he remains somewhat consistent. All in all this a good album, though not as good as "Straight From The Underground". The tracks on this album that stood out are "Dead Heat" "行動" "楽団" & "Night Raid -Tokyo State Of Mind-".
